Weekly Maths Problem

Don’t forget to write out the Weekly Maths Problem at the top of your page, date the work and show all your workings out (even the wrong answers) and then file the evidence in your folder!

For a DT project Nicola measured a doll’s house and made a scale drawing. She used the scale 1 millimetre: 1 centimetres. If the dining room is 20 millimetres in the drawing, how long is the actual doll’s house dining room? The room is a quadrilateral and Nicola has label each side in alphabetical order. On the first side, there is a 6mm window with its centre at 12mm along the wall. On the second wall, there is a 12mm fireplace in the centre of the wall. On the third wall, there is a 10mm door 4mms from the corner of the room. Draw that room to scale including the features listed.

You can share your answers here, on Facebook or with me as I visit during the week. Remember you need to show your workings out to get the maximum points.
