Word of the Week
erroneous
Meaning: something being wrong or inaccurate. We would use this more for a document, letter, email, report or theory.
Example of using it in a sentence “He worked on his report using the erroneous data from the internet."
This is a Latin root word meaning to be incorrect. They used it to mean wrong in information, but also wrong is moral behaviour and wrong in direction of travel.
Spelling tip: we are going to break the work in to the four sounds we can hear:
er + ron + e + ous
Use the word as many times throughout the week. This can be verbally, in your written work or listen out for other people using it.
